My dear countrymen,
Today, Indians living across the country and around the world are celebrating the festival of Independence. On this sacred occasion of Independence, I extend my heartfelt greetings and best wishes to all my fellow citizens as the Pradhan Sevak (Chief Servant) of India.
I stand before you not as the Prime Minister, but as the Pradhan Sevak (Chief Servant) of the country. Our struggle for independence lasted for many years, with several generations dedicating their lives to it. Countless people made sacrifices, devoted their youth, and spent their lives in prison for the freedom of our nation. I pay my deepest respect and salute all those dedicated freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for India’s independence.
On this sacred occasion of Independence, I also bow to the millions of people of India. Remembering the sacrifices made during the freedom struggle, this Independence Day is an occasion to take a pledge to work for the welfare of Mother India and to do something meaningful for the poor, oppressed, Dalits, exploited and underprivileged sections of our society
